Crusaders Earn Trip to Regionals
The varsity boys golf team finished second in the district tournament on
October 18 at Cypress Creek Country Club. The Crusaders shot a team
score of 308 which was good enough for runner-up behind St. Andrews.
Andrew Mangini led the way with a 3rd overall lowest 73 followed by
Collin Lamba's 75. Jake Francis and Andrew Martens each came in with
80. The Crusaders will head to Bear Lakes Country Club on Monday
October 25 for the Regional Tournament.
Crusader Golf Off To A Record Breaking Start
The boy's Varsity Golf team is off to a great start this year. Anchored by seniors Andrew Mangini, Collin Lamba,and Ryan Scavuzzo, the Crusaders are 4-2 and are playing the best team golf in years at CSCA. The previous school record of a combined team low score(149)was broken not once but twice this year shooting a 145 against Calvery Academy on September 9 and then again on September 15 against Sagemont School with a 144. What makes it more impressive is that it is not just four people but all 6 golfers were coming in with scores all in the 30's. Jake Francis, Skylar Thompson, and AJ Martens have each been keeping up with the seniors with low scores of their own.
