"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden... In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to
your Father who is in heaven." — Matthew 5:14-17

Golf Team Completes Successful Season; 2 Golfers Make Regionals

This year's golf team did a fantastic job.  We finished 6-2 on the season.  We also had two individuals (Jake Francis and Morgan Gardner) advance to Regionals this year.  Though being shorthanded this year, we finished with a winning record and will not lose any players due to graduation this spring.  With all returning next year, we should be very strong.

A few highlights this year would be our win over Westminster early in the season.  Jake Francis defeated Westminster's #1 golfer in a sudden death playoff.  Jake birdied the number 9 hole par 5 to seal the Crusader victory.  Skylar Thompson had a great year being a year older and stronger.  He hit the ball a lot further and putted very well this year.  Morgan Gardner was our only girl and had a wonderful year.  She spent most of her time beating the guys from Championship tees.  David Keene is 1 year away from being an excellent golfer.  Still in middle school, he shows a great short game.  Mike Field, a first year golfer, shows some athletic promise.
