Latest News:
- February 4: Varsity Competitive Cheer: This past week the Crusader Competition Squad headed to Orlando for the FHSAA State Championship with 17 members instead of 18 and a modified routine. The Squad was worried because they had not hit a solid routine and were still competing in a large coed division (5+ boys) instead of a small coed division (4 or less). Having had a successful warmup the squad took the stage nervous, but united and together as 18 Strong (17 on the Mat and Erica in their heart) they hit the Best Routine of their Season... All stunts hit, pyramid hit, tumbling hit..They knew they left it all on the mat, they put their hearts out their and they celebrated their achievement when they came off the stage. They worked TOGETHER, with HEART and they felt accomplished. Their performance landed the Crusaders in 2nd place--1 point behind 1st. However, the squad was hit with a legality for an elevated inversion that was not caught by the coaches in preliminaries. The legality took the squad from 2nd to 5th place in State. They were disappointed, but nothing could take away the achievement they felt when they ended their routine. The Crusaders set the bar high for all competitors in their division. The boys were praised in a Sun Sentinel article featured in Fridays paper, Football Players help Cheerleading. Also, the squad has in the last three days received praise from fans offering monetary and spiritual support for their upcoming season. Colossians 3:23-24
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” (NIV)
